ParaLAI ("ParaLAI", "we", "us") is operated by [TBD: Registered company name], a company registered in India with its registered office at [TBD: Registered office address]. By creating an account or using the ParaLAI platform (the "Service") you agree to these Terms.
ParaLAI is a software tool that helps legal professionals draft, review, and analyse documents using artificial intelligence. ParaLAI is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Outputs generated by the Service are working drafts intended for review by a qualified Indian advocate. You are solely responsible for verifying the legal accuracy and suitability of any document before relying on it.
You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a contract under the Indian Contract Act 1872, and using the Service in a professional capacity (as a practising advocate, legal professional, or law-firm employee).
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at [TBD: support email] if you suspect unauthorised access. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard; doing so permanently removes your documents, templates, and conversation history (see Section 8).
You agree not to:
[TBD: pricing model — currently free during private beta. Insert subscription fees, billing cycle, refund policy, and applicable GST handling once paid plans launch.]
You retain all rights in the documents you upload ("Customer Content") and in documents generated through the Service for you. You grant ParaLAI a limited licence to process your Customer Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. ParaLAI retains all rights in the Service itself, including the software, prompts, and underlying models we license from third parties.
We treat Customer Content as confidential. Our data handling practices, including the sub-processors we use to generate AI outputs, are described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. AI outputs may contain factual errors, hallucinated case citations, or legally incorrect statements. ParaLAI makes no warranty that any output is accurate, current, complete, or fit for any particular legal purpose. Always verify before relying on it.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, ParaLAI's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you have paid to ParaLAI in the twelve months preceding the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is higher. ParaLAI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of business, loss of profits, or loss of data.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the licences in Section 7 end and we will delete your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [TBD: city of registered office]. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
